The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to inexplicably beat around the bush with the last of their free agent signings this offseason. Although the preseason games are rapidly approaching, the Cavs still haven’t received a signed offer sheet from either J.R. Smith or critical playoff piece Tristan Thompson.
It’s an interesting situation to be sure, as the latest news reports that it is pretty unlikely that any other team will end up having enough free space to sign either Thompson or Smith. The only teams that do look to be the Trailblazers and the Sixers, both of which are in the process of a rebuild and reboot.
