Cleveland Cavaliers: Locking up Larry Nance Jr. is good for the near future

The Cleveland Cavaliers and big Larry Nance Jr. are a near-perfect pairing. It was initially reported by Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports that Cleveland and their hometown guy agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $45 million (it’s formally 44.8 million, per Cleveland.com’s Chris Fedor).

According to Ben Axelrod of WKYC, “teams have until midnight on Monday to agree to terms with players who were a part of the 2015 draft class,” and that relates to Nance.

The Cavaliers got the deal done before that midnight deadline, and this was a good move for the team going forward, and it’s no surprise they finally nailed it down.
