It’s clear that the Cleveland Cavaliers should be active sellers near the February 7 NBA trade deadline. This team needs to do all it can to get themselves in a good spot for the near future, and that comes from Cleveland taking advantage of trading players such as Alec Burks, who is on an expiring deal that is up at the end of this season. Burks has been solid for Cleveland, but keeping him past the trade deadline doesn’t make much sense to me.
Sorry, KJG contributor Robbie DiPaola, I just don’t see keeping Burks through the end of the year as being a smart move for a Cavaliers organization that needs to be focused on acquiring future assets.
