A California Senator will be eating her words Wednesday and donning wine and gold after losing an NBA championship bet to an Ohio Senator.
“I’ve always thought you look best in blue and gold!” Sen. Barbara Boxer, a Warriors fans from California, tweeted in May to Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, then pictured wearing a Warriors jersey after the fellow Democrats’ last round of playful trash talk.
Brown took the bait, and the bet.
And on Wednesday, after Boxer’s team lost in Game 7 to the Cavs, it will be Boxer who dons an unfitting jersey and poses for a picture in Brown’s office as she delivers beer from California’s 21st Amendment Brewery.
