In a string of related moves, the Cleveland Cavaliers have waived recently guards Isaac Hamilton and Scoochie Smith (per Def Pen’s JD Shaw) in order to create the roster spots that allow them to sign guard Kobi Simmons and forward JaCorey Williams (per RealGM’s Keith Smith).
Source: The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed forward Jacorey Williams. Williams was signed by Cleveland late in the offseason last year before being waived at the end of the preseason. He then played for the Canton Charge of the NBAGL.
The Cavs will waive recently signed players Scoochie Smith and Isaac Hamilton.
