Cavs send Pistons packing and end homestand with 112-90 win; three takeaways

CLEVELAND– The Cavaliers got a much-needed win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, 112-90, to end their five-game homestand.

LeBron James ended with a game-high 31 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. More important than James numbers was the fact that the Cavs won “by committee.”

“It started with me and Larry (Nance Jr.),” he said after the win. “It started with us and we did it by committee after that, and it resulted in us getting that win and winning the rebounding battle.”

Indeed, James and Nance Jr. kept the team in the game in the first quarter by scoring 20 of their 26 points.
