The Cavaliers’ championship rings are a wearable novel, telling the story of the team’s championship season in jewels and precious metals.
The approximately 6.5 carat ring has a total of 400 diamonds encrusted on its body, topped by a one-carat gem nestled atop the Larry O’Brien trophy, signifying the organization’s first championship.
The story unfolds in the ring’s two sides, however.
On one shoulder the ring pays homage to the Cleveland skyline, including the The Q, Terminal Tower and Detroit-Superior bridge. Most notably, however, underneath the bridge is the Roman numeral for “52,” representing the city’s championship drought and the lifting of “The Curse.
