CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Brad Stevens likely wouldn't be the head coach of the Boston Celtics without the support of Cleveland. Or, at least the support of one very important Northeast Ohio native.
Tracy Stevens is that native, and the wife of the Celtics coach is the person who helped point him in the direction of coaching almost 20 years ago. In 2010, when Butler was playing in the Final Four with Stevens as its coach, I wrote a story about Tracy and Brad Stevens and talked to both of them about the coaching path they chose together.
