TORONTO: A dozen Akron high school students, members of the LeBron James Family Foundation’s “330 Ambassadors,” helped the Cavaliers star kick off NBA All-Star Weekend on Thursday with a uniform drop as part of the group’s “23 Acts of Kindness and Giving.”
The foundation and the ambassadors surprised 23 teams and organizations in the Toronto Public School district with new Nike team uniforms.
In an assembly at Earl Haig Secondary School that mimicked a fashion show, male and female teams selected by the district that participate in football, basketball, soccer, track and field, field hockey, wrestling, badminton, cricket, ultimate frisbee, rugby, and school clubs, including an after-school special needs group, were honored for their sportsmanship and leadership.
