After being selected with the 8th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Collin Sexton is now the franchise point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Following his selection, there were mixed reviews from Cavs fans and most criticisms focused on passing tendencies and shooting stroke. Fair enough, as those are areas where he needs the most improvement.
However, to focus on those current weaknesses is to ignore his strength and how he fits into an offense that needs a point guard who is a fearless scorer, can play off of the shooters around him while defending the best guards the game has to offer.
