Cavs Weekly: Recapping Last Week & Previewing This Week

The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a three-game losing streak last week, but three straight wins over the Portland Trail Blazers, Orlando Magic, and Boston Celtics have pushed them to 16-7 on the season and back into first place in the Eastern Conference. Let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

Last Week:

Cleveland then broke their losing streak on Tuesday, where they came back from an 18-point second-quarter deficit to beat Portland 105-100 thanks to 33 points and 10 rebounds from LeBron. They followed that with a dominant 111-76 win over the Magic on Friday, giving them their 12th straight win over Orlando.

The Cavs then hit the road again Tuesday night against the Celtics, knocking off Boston 89-77 in a rematch from last year's first round playoff series.

What's Next?

Cleveland returns home to face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday and the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

Injuries:

Point guard Kyrie Irving is expected to make his season debut at some point this week. Irving is recovering from a fractured kneecap he suffered in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
