Cavs Weekly: Inner Turmoil Building In Cleveland

The Cleveland Cavaliers returned from the All-Star break with resounding wins over the Bulls and Thunder, but the wheels have fallen off the Cavs since then as they've lost three of their last four. As if there aren't problems on the court, star point guard Kyrie Irving is reportedly unhappy and wants out of Cleveland, according to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith.

"Dating back to last year, I’ve been told that Kyrie Irving ain’t too happy being in Cleveland," Smith said Monday morning on ESPN's First Take. "The situation is not ideal for him. I don’t know the particulars, I haven’t spoken to him personally. It’s something that I’ve been hearing for months ... that under ideal circumstances he would prefer to be someplace other than Cleveland."

That's certainly not a good sign as we head down the stretch of the season, but that's just part of the turmoil surrounding this team. Let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

Last Week:
Cleveland started with a disappointing 96-88 loss to the Detroit Pistons, during which they fell behind in the first quarter and were never able to get a firm handle on the game. The Cavs then got back on track with a 114-103 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, but the good feelings ended there.

Friday night ended with a disappointing 99-97 loss to the Toronto Raptors after LeBron James missed a potential game-winning three at the buzzer, who are now just two games behind Cleveland in the Eastern Conference standings. Then, they were blown out by the lowly Washington Wizards on Sunday, who took advantage of the Cavs playing without LeBron, who sat out due to rest.

What's Next?
Cleveland starts a four-game home stretch against the Indiana Pacers on Monday, and will then host the Wizards again on Friday and the Boston Celtics on Saturday. Read more Cavs news in the Chat Sports iPhone and Android apps.

Injuries:
Reserve shooting guard Joe Harris is expected to miss at least another two months after having surgery on his right foot earlier in January.

Backup point guard Mo Williams is expected to return from a knee injury tonight against the Pacers.
