Cavs Weekly: Cleveland Looking For Stability After Tumultuous Week

One week ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers were humming along. Then this week happened.

After suffering a disastrous loss to the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland decided it was time to fire head coach David Blatt - despite a 30-11 record - and promoted assistant Tyronn Lue to head coach. That decision has raised a lot of new questions around the franchise, so let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

Last Week:

Cleveland stared the week with that embarrassing 132-98 loss to the Warriors in a game that wasn't even that close, but they responded with double-digit wins over the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday and Thursday.

Blatt was then surprisingly fired on Friday, changing the complexion of this team. Not surprisingly, they struggled against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, falling 96-83 despite a near triple-double from LeBron James.

What's Next?

The Cavs cap off a four-game homestand against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns on Monday and Wednesday, then have a quick road trip to take on the Detroit Pistons on Friday.

Cleveland then returns home to take on the San Antonio Spurs in their second straight primetime ABC Saturday night game.

Injuries:

Reserve shooting guard Joe Harris is expected to miss another two months after having surgery on his right foot earlier in January.
