Cavs Weekly: Cleveland Back Home After Long, Successful Road Trip

The Cleveland Cavaliers went 5-1 during their recent road trip, with their only loss coming to the San Antonio Spurs, who haven't lost at home yet this year. As the Cavs set to return home for a long homestand, let's get you up to speed with the week that was and the week ahead with our Cavs Weekly update:

Last Week:

Last Tuesday night's matchup with the Mavs kicked the week off in exciting fashion as Cleveland used 27 points from LeBron James - including the go-ahead layup - as the Cavs came back to beat the Mavs 110-107 in overtime.

They then had their showdown against the Spurs, where they built a double-digit lead in the first quarter, but watched it fall apart down the stretch as they lost 99-95. That loss snapped an eight-game win streak for the Cavs, but they got back on track with a dominant 91-77 win over the Rockets on Friday.

What's Next?

The Cavs have their second showdown with the Golden State Warriors today, the lone matchup between the two in Cleveland during the regular season. They then have a quick one-game road trip to Brooklyn on Wednesday, then start a four-game homestand against the Clippers on Thursday. They'll close the week against the Bulls on Saturday and Timberwolves on Monday.

Injuries:

Reserve shooting guard Joe Harris is expected to miss two-to-three months after having surgery on his right foot.

Point guard Kyrie Irving is playing, but still recovering from a fracture kneecap he suffered in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
