Cavs Trade Deadline Rumors: Cleveland Upgrades Shooting With Frye Deal

With the clock ticking down until the NBA Trade Deadline at 3:00 pm ET, it's time to review the biggest rumors surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers as they look to bolster their roster for the playoffs. Here's what you need to know:

Cavs acquire Channing Frye in three-team trade with Magic, Blazers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the more active teams in the league surrounding the trade deadline, hoping to unload someone from their crowded big man rotation while adding more shooting. The Cavs have done just that, acquiring stretch four Channing Frye from the Orlando Magic while sending center Anderson Varejao to the Portland Trail Blazers in the three-team trade, according to USA Today's Sam Amick.

Portland receives a conditional first-round pick from the Cavs as well as Varajeo, who they are expected to waive once the deal is finalized. Orlando also receives a second-round pick from the Cavs in the deal, along with a player to be named later that will come from the Blazers.

Kevin Love, Iman Shumpert expected to stay put

Cleveland has also been shopping Kevin Love and Iman Shumpert of the past week or so, but they're expected to stay put after the deadline. The Cavs are looking to get a star in return for Love, and there's no offer out there that they would entertain. As for Shumpert, he was a piece they were shopping to teams in order to get a shooter in return, but with Frye already in the fold, he's not going anywhere.
