Cavs Outduel Pacers For 109-108 Game 1 Win

The opening game of the NBA Playoffs had plenty of scoring. In a back-and-forth affair, the Cleveland Cavaliers picked up a 109-108 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference first round series.

The Pacers actually took a 2-point lead with 3:32 to go, their first lead since the first quarter, but the Cavs took it back not long after. The Pacers cut the lead to one with 39 seconds left and had a chance to take the lead on the final shot. But, C.J. Miles' buzzer beater didn't fall.

Not that it's a surprise, but the Big Three led the way for the Cavs. LeBron James had 32 points, six rebounds and 13 assists. Kyrie Irving had 23 points and Kevin Love chipped in 17. Tristian Thompson nearly had a double-double with eight points and 13 rebounds.

Paul George and Lance Stephenson led the way for the Pacers. George had 29 points, five rebounds and seven assists, while Stephenson had 16 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Jeff Teague had 15 points, while Monta Ellis and Myles Turner had 11.

Game 2 of the series is in Cleveland on Monday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.
