Cavs Even Series At 2-2 With 111-102 Win Over Celtics After Another 40-Point Game From LeBron James

We've got a series. The Cleveland Cavaliers have evened the Eastern Conference Finals at 2-2 with a 111-102 win over the Boston Celtics on Monday Night.

The Cavs led for much of the game, although they never quite ran away with the game like they did in Game 3. The Cavs led by as many as 19, but much of the game hovered around the 10-point mark.

Boston had several chances to really cut into the lead, but missed far too many layups and dunks to pull out a win. Every time the Celtics would cut into the lead and enter the edge of a comeback, the Cavs would pull back away.

LeBron James, once again led the way for the Cavs (shocking, isn't it?). While he had only 3 assists and 5 rebounds, he did put up 44 points. It's the sixth time LeBron has posted 40 or more points during the 2018 NBA playoffs. Unlike in some other games during these playoffs, James had help.

Kyle Korver was strong on both ends of the court, with 14 points and 3 blocks. Tristan Thompson was again playoffs Tristan Thompson, with 13 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and two blocks. J.R. Smith had 9 points and George Hill had 13. However, Kevin Love struggled with just 9 points.

All five Celtics starters posted double-figures, but this was one of the games Boston really missed Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving. Terry Rozier posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists. Jayson Tatum had 17 points, Jaylen Brown had 23 points, Al Horford had 15 and Marcus Morris had 10.

Marcus Smart had a mixed game for Boston. He had 5 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds, but also turned the ball over 5 times and was just 1 of 7 from the field.

Game 5 will be back in Boston. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. ET Wednesday.
