Kyrie Irving Could Be Out Until January With Kneecap Fracture

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving's fractured left kneecap kept him out of the NBA Finals, and it might keep him out of the regular season until January, according to Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

The report states that Irving's rehab is going well, but Cleveland doesn't want to risk him having a setback as they want Irving to be at full strength for the playoffs.

"I'm honestly not putting a date on anything," Irving said at his basketball camp in July. "People are going to put a date regardless. I'm just continuing to be on the journey I've been on, and that's continuing to get better every single day and rehabbing my leg."
