The 5 Greatest Picks in Cavs History

The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently in possession of the first overall pick for the 2014 NBA Draft. Upon recent rumors that top prospect Jabari Parker tanked his workout with the Cavs in order to stay out of Cleveland, only time will tell how the Cavs will utilize their pick.

We took a stroll down memory lane to give you the five best picks that the Cavs have ever taken.

5. Kevin Johnson

Johnson didn't stay in Cleveland for long, but the Cavs organization clearly had an eye for talent. Coming out of Cal Berkeley, Johnson averaged over 20 points/game in his first full season with the Phoenix Suns. He's now the mayor of Sacramento.

4. Žydrūnas Ilgauskas

Ilgauskas has played more games and has more rebounds and blocks than any Cavalier ever. He was a staple in Cleveland from 1996 until 2010.

3. Carlos Boozer

Boozer went at 34th overall, and has had an illustrious career from Cleveland, to Utah, to Chicago where he currently plays.

2. Bill Laimbeer

As a 3rd round pick, Laimbeer had a wicked shot from outside that was a killer weapon for a center. He spent 2 seasons in Cleveland before he was traded to Detroit, where he was a key member of the notorious 'Bad Boys,' winning back to back championships for the Pistons.

1. LeBron James
