Cavs Rumors Roundup: The Latest On David Blatt, Kevin Love, & More

Cleveland has gotten off to a much-rougher-than-expected 19-14 start to their season that has been marred by a lack of chemistry and cohesion, yet the Cavaliers still find themselves firmly in the playoff picture. Here's the latest news surrounding the Cavs:

DAVID BLATT

Cleveland’s front office reportedly has major doubts about Blatt’s ability to reach his players, and they won’t hesitate to make a change as soon as possible if they don’t think Blatt can meet their championship expectations. Some struggles were expected at the start of this new "Big 3" era in Cleveland, but the Cavs absolutely do not like what they have seen so far.

KEVIN LOVE

Love will become the focal point of Cleveland's offense as they're without superstar LeBron James for two weeks while he rests knee and back strains.

“For us right now, we just have to keep feeding him,” point guard Irving said of Love. “We want him to shoot. We want him to continue to shoot. He’s a great shooter and he’s a great scorer. We both need to pick it up until Bron gets back and we need to hold the fort down as best we can and go out there and compete.”

OTHER NOTES

Free agent Ray Allen, who many expected to join former Heat teammates LeBron James and Mike Miller in Cleveland, is now leaning towards official retirement opposed to joining a team late in the season.
