Cavs News: LeBron James Met With Ray Allen

Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star LeBron James visited former teammate Ray Allen while he was rehabbing in Miami to try and get Allen to play for the Cavs this season, according to ESPN.

Allen hasn't played this season, but had told teams inquiring for his services earlier in the season was to check back with him in January before he would make a decision on returning.

Former Heat teammates James Jones and Mike Miller have also kept in contact with Allen and have been trying to recruit him to Cleveland.

The Cavs have 14 players on their roster, meaning they  have an open slot to sign Allen.

Allen played 73 games for the Heat in the regular season and all 20 postseason games last season, averaging 9.3 points per game on 41 percent shooting in the playoffs.
