Cavs News: Kevin Love Will Be Focal Point Of Offense Without LeBron James

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without superstar LeBron James for two weeks while he rests knee and back strains, but the Cavs don't expect their offense to miss a beat.

Cleveland's other All-Stars - Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love - will have to step up in LeBron's absence, but head coach David Blatt plans to run the offense through Love. Irving told ESPN that he agrees with the decision to get Love heavily involved because "they need him":

“For us right now, we just have to keep feeding him,” Irving said. “We want him to shoot. We want him to continue to shoot. He’s a great shooter and he’s a great scorer. We both need to pick it up until Bron gets back and we need to hold the fort down as best we can and go out there and compete.”

Love scored 27 points while leading Cleveland to a 91-87 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, the first game after it was announced the James would miss two weeks. He's averaging 17.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game so far this season.
