Cavs News: Cleveland Players Admit They Were Upset With Roster, Not Coach David Blatt

Prior to the Cleveland Cavs' current hot streak, many players on the team reportedly were unsure of just how far the team's roster construction would take them in 2014-15.

However, with a couple of key moves and some much needed reinforcements in JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Timofey Mozgov, things appear to be a bit more harmonious in Northeast Ohio.

Per Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes:

Under the condition of anonymity, some Cavs players admitted that they had lost faith because of the team's lack of depth. A handful of players said they came to realize the roster, as it was constructed before the trades, wasn't equipped to go any further than the second round, if that.

While many outside analysts speculating that the players' ire was being directed towards first-year NBA head coach David Blatt's coaching style, one anonymous Cav says that was never the case:

One player said the frustration of an "unbalanced roster probably contributed" to the players' poor body language and effort level. Another said "it was never Coach [David] Blatt's fault."
