2015 NBA Draft: Cleveland Cavs Select Duke PG Tyus Jones

With the 24th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select Tyus Jones out of Duke.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Cavs will ship Jones off to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the #31 and #36 picks in tonight's draft.

Position: Point Guard

School: Duke

Class: Freshman

Measurables: 6’1”, 184 lbs.

Analysis:

Jones looked like the best point guard in the country at times this season, and he may be the best pure point in the draft. He sometimes faded out of games last season, but he doesn’t force his scoring on offense and is excellent at setting his teammates up. Jones was also the most clutch player in college basketball as he took over down the stretch in every big game the Blue Devils played in. Jones is a guy that won’t make mistakes or be overwhelmed by the NBA, which will allow him to be a solid backup next year and a potential starter down the road.
