CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars have met 16 times in the history of the two franchises. It feels appropriate that the Browns are 5-11 over those 16 games.
Their history dates back to Jacksonville’s first season in the league, when the Jags and Browns were both in the old AFC Central along with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Houston. Jacksonville beat the Browns twice that season.
The Browns and Jaguars remained in the AFC Central together from 1999 until the league’s realignment in 2002.
Despite Jacksonville having a clear edge in the series, the two teams have played some memorable games against each other, especially in Cleveland.
