BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns are releasing veteran wide receiver Diontae Johnson, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
Johnson acknowledged the impending move in a post on X
"Appreciate the opportunity regardless," wrote Johnson.
Cleveland signed Johnson in April to a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum ($1.17 million) that includes no guaranteed money. It marked the fourth team for Johnson, 29, in two years after a drama-filled 2024 season in which he spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans.
