Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Jordan Payton will miss the rest of the season after being suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs.

Payton will be eligible to return to the team Jan. 2, the day after the season finale in Pittsburgh. A fifth-round pick, Payton was one of four receivers drafted by the Browns in 2016.

He has barely played, with one reception for three yards in 32 snaps this season.

He's been inactive for six games and did not play in two others.
