'Requiem For A Running Back' looks into CTE at Cleveland International Film Festival 2017

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and its impact go under the microscope in the film 'Requiem For A Running Back' being shown at the Cleveland International Film Festival.

Film director Rebecca Carpenter, daughter to former pro football player and coach Lew Carpenter, provides rare testimonies from former football players, their families and gives in an in-depth look into disease.

"I think the most disappointing thing is the institutional level of [manipulating players] that is going on around brain injury in football at every level," said Rebecca Carpenter.
