No one can accuse the Cleveland Browns of not exploring all options during the team’s latest head coaching search.
On the same day that Mike McCarthy, a presumed favorite for the Cleveland job, was hired to be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, the Browns kept their focus on the NFC East Division and have reportedly asked permission to interview Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero:
Schwartz has spent the four seasons with the Eagles, including the 2017 season when Philadelphia won the Super Bowl despite giving up 33 points to the New England Patriots.
