To this point, linebacker James Burgess and receiver C.J. Board had been making good impressions on the Cleveland Browns as they competed for roster spots. But both were injured in Detroit on Thursday, leaving the game in the second quarter.
Board injured his shoulder and was sent to the locker room, then given a questionable tag on whether he’d return. Because he’s competing for a roster spot, he will potentially see the field again if his injury isn’t significant. Moments later, Burgess left with an apparent head injury. It was announced soon after to media in the press box that he was being evaluated for a concussion.
