An NFL executive tells Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com that Wyoming QB Josh Allen is the best quarterback prospect in this year’s class and “it’s not even close.”
“I believe (John) Dorsey will block out the noise and take the best guy (in Allen),” the executive said. “And the Browns will be good very soon.”
The executive added that “the best comp for Allen (6-5, 233) is Big Ben (Roethlisberger) when he came out of college.”
- ESPN’s Mel Kiper surprised some people today by projecting Allen to the Browns at the top of his 2018 Mock Draft, despite the consensus being that Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen are the top-two quarterback prospects.
