CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Browns get closer to the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft with each passing week. They are one of just three teams to start consecutive seasons 0-10. Reports of organizational turmoil keep popping up, along with rumors of offseason changes coming to the front office.
Hue Jackson has faced criticism for his handling of quarterback DeShone Kizer, and Tashaun Gipson said last week that some former Browns – like him - are happy to be out of Cleveland.
With much of that as the backdrop, Albert Breer of Monday Morning Quarterback had this to say recently about USC quarterback Sam Darnold, and the possibility of him skipping the 2018 draft to avoid the Browns:
“Sam Darnold has great support around him and comes from a great family and my understanding is he’s going to take everything into account … that includes who is at the top of the draft,” Breer told 92.
