Earlier this morning, the Cincinnati Bengals, as well as the rest of the NFL world, was caught off-guard when Head Coach Marvin Lewis decided to opt out of his contract with Cincinnati. Lewis had been the coach of the Bengals for the last fifteen seasons and despite putting together an overall winning record over his decade-and-a-half tenure, he failed to win a single playoff game.
After 15 seasons in Cincinnati, Marvin Lewis is planning to leave the Bengals after this season to pursue opportunities elsewhere, league sources tell ESPN.
