CLEVELAND, Ohio - Josh Gordon's return to the Cleveland Browns is at once many things, among them, amazing, auspicious and appalling.
Amazing
Flashes of the old, well, "Flash" Gordon were there, particularly in his leaping catch of a ball while tightly covered by the Los Angeles Chargers' Casey Hayward, one of the NFL's best coverage men.
It is amazing that Gordon, with scant practice with the strong-armed, but scattershot quarterback Deshone Kizer, got close to 100 yards in receptions after three years spent on suspension and in rehab.
Auspicious
The Browns, their fans, and the Cleveland media, all of us, have been dazzled before by the brightness of the flash when Gordon is dedicated, clean and sober, and thus dynamic.
