Josh Gordon hid his extensive criminal past from the Browns before '12 supplemental draft

CARSON, Ca. -- Josh Gordon hid his extensive criminal past from the Browns before the 2012 supplemental draft, league sources told cleveland.com.

His recent admissions to Sport Illustrated have left former Browns staffers stunned. He told SI's Ben Baskin that in high school and college he committed armed robbery, grand theft auto and felony credit card theft; sold drugs, received marijuana weekly in the mail at Baylor to sell for a $10,000 monthly profit, engaged in gang shootouts and more.

The Browns brought Gordon to Cleveland before the supplemental draft in July of 2012 and grilled him for hours on his past, including his drug use at Baylor and why he left Utah after getting kicked out Baylor.
