CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Hue Jackson doesn't believe a report that new GM John Dorsey will want to hire his own head coach after the season.

"I don't think that's the case at all,'' he said on a conference call Monday.

Profootballtalk.com reported on Thursday and again Sunday that belief persists in league circles that Dorsey will want to start fresh, especially if the Browns go 0-13.

But Jackson is banking on what Browns owner Jimmy Haslam said at Dorsey's introductory press conference Friday, that Jackson will be back in 2018 and beyond, and that he hopes the two football-lifers work together here "for a long time.
