How would you evaluate Mark Shapiro's tenure in Cleveland? Previewing the Thursday Conversation

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- As the Indians wrapped up their season in early October, and the Blue Jays embarked on their postseason journey, Mark Shapiro crossed over the Canadian border and never returned.

Well, until a few days later. Shapiro left the Indians' organization after nearly a quarter-century with the franchise. Once the Kansas City Royals emerged to represent the American League in the World Series, Shapiro took over as commander of the Blue Jays. He still makes frequent trips back to Northeast Ohio to spend weekends with his family.

During the week, Shapiro immerses himself in his new surroundings.
