During the Cleveland Browns’ offseason programs to date, RB Earnest Byner has been assisting the team’s running backs in what seems to be an unofficial capacity. The final question asked to head coach Hue Jackson on June 9th at the end of mandatory minicamp was whether the team would bring Byner back to coach during training camp. Jackson responded, "We'll see how that unfolds; Earnest has been great."
According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer, Byner will indeed be working with the Browns’ running backs through training camp:
Cabot also says that it’s not known yet whether Byner’s work will extend to the regular season, but he’s thrilled to “pour his heart and soul” into the team’s running backs for whatever time he can:
