David Modell, son of former Browns owner Art Modell, is suffering from Stage IV lung cancer, he confirmed to ESPN Cleveland.
Modell, 56, first disclosed the illness at a cancer benefit in Baltimore on May 28.
“I’m a fourth-stage lung cancer survivor,” Modell announced. “I was told I have a year to live a year ago.”
In an email reply to ESPN Cleveland, Modell wrote, “I've been dealing with lung cancer this past year. The good news is it's a year.
