Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will be the first to say that 2019 did not go the way he or the rest of the team expected. The browns were expected to explode onto the scene and reach the playoffs. Instead, They finished with a worse record than 2018.
Mayfield also had his fair share of problems, as he struggled for the majority of the season and never looked comfortable in Freddie Kitchens' offense. The result was Mayfield statistically being one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL last season.
His struggles in 2019 have caused many to wonder if he truly is the franchise quarterback he was expected to be.
