Andrew Hawkins never led the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs. In fact, he was on the team in perhaps the worst season in franchise history.
However, it should be hard for any Browns fan to have anything negative to say about Hawkins after he announced his retirement Tuesday afternoon.
Hawkins spent three years with the Browns, and had a career year back in 2014 when the team got out to a great start with Brian Hoyer at the helm. Those were much simpler times.
Obviously, the team was much worse in the following two seasons, but Hawkins emerged as a leader for the Browns in some of the darkest days to be a member of the team.
