CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Scribbles in my Cleveland Browns notebook after listening to Sashi Brown's press conference:
1. I don't believe Sashi Brown intentionally sabotaged the trade for A.J. McCarron. I doubt the Browns VP was incredibly excited about dealing a second- and third-round pick for Cincinnati's backup quarterback. But once they decided to make the trade, I believe he went to work.
2. Here's why I doubt Brown or his staff intentionally messed up the paperwork, leading to the trade not being ready by last Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline: If they did, word would come out.
