CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Scribbles in my notebook as the Cleveland Browns play the Cincinnati Bengals:
1. How good is the Browns defense? If you go on a stat I don't like -- yards allowed per game -- the Browns rank No. 8 in the NFL. I think a more meaningful stat is points allowed -- the Browns are No. 28.
2. But I was talking to a football executive about this. He said a problem for the Browns defense is the Browns offense. They keep turning the ball over -- too often in their own territory.
