Cleveland Browns News: Looking at the running back situation

The Cleveland Browns have invested a lot in the offense this off-season. They have added talent to every position group. But the one group that received a lot of attention and investment is the running back position.

The Browns let Isaiah Crowell walk during free agency, leaving Cleveland without their starting running back from last season. The Browns decided to sign Carlos Hyde to a three year, $15 million contract during the first days of free agency to replace Crowell.

Cleveland then drafted Nick Chubb with the 35th overall pick. Using a second round pick is a significant investment for a running back when teams can find talented running backs in the middle rounds.
