Cleveland Browns News: Christian Kirksey excited about competition

The Cleveland Browns lacked solid linebacker depth last season, which became noticeable when Jamie Collins went down with a season-ending knee injury in the middle of the season. It was an area that was expected to receive some attention from Browns general manager John Dorsey.

However, it almost seemed like an afterthought after the draft. The Browns drafted Genard Avery in the fifth round, but it was the only move they made to fill out the linebacker room.

But that was until the Browns signed linebacker Mychal Kendricks last week. Kendricks was released from the Eagles as he has wanted to be traded or released from the franchise because of a lack of playing time.
