It is truly a shame that Alabama product Mack Wilson fell to the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Or, rather, it’s a shame for 31 of the NFL’s 32 teams. For the 32nd, however, Wilson’s draft slide is cause for the heist of the draft. That team, of course, the Cleveland Browns. The conductor of said heist? One John Dorsey.
Wilson flashed in a big way during his first preseason game, recording two interceptions against the Washington Redskins. Wilson would return one of those picks for a 40-yard touchdown, stiff arm-ing opposing quarterback Dwayne Haskins on his way to the endzone.
