Last season the Cleveland Browns went out and signed veteran cornerback Jason McCourty after releasing Joe Haden — their own veteran starter. McCourty was released by the Tennessee Titans, and came in on the cheap for his skill level and experience.
The Browns still weren’t as good as they would like to be in pass defense, and they know it. Cleveland is already looking to improve in that area and on Friday they visited with free agent Vontae Davis according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
Davis was originally a first-round pick of the Miami Dolphins back in 2009 out of Illinois.
