It was not the 2019 season we all wanted to see from the Cleveland Browns, and plenty of that fell on Baker Mayfield.
Yes, the Browns had often a joke of a decision-maker in-game in then-head coach Freddie Kitchens. No, the pass protection especially at the starting tackles in Gregg Robinson and Chris Hubbard was not up to par a bunch of the time.
Kitchens' play-calling after the early stages of games didn't help Mayfield, either. The same went for other parts of the Browns offense in 2019, too.
Nonetheless, one can't help but admit Mayfield underwhelmed.
