Tuesday’s developments
• The Browns didn’t score a touchdown, but they had plenty of chances. In a drill pitting receivers against cornerbacks, Travis Benjamin beat a defender on a go route but dropped a pass from quarterback Johnny Manziel in the end zone. Benjamin immediately kicked the ball out of frustration.
• In an 11-on-11 drill in the red zone, quarterback Josh McCown had a pass tipped by defensive tackle Stefan Charles, and linebacker Preston Brown intercepted it in the back of the end zone on third-and-goal at the 6.
• In a two-minute drill, McCown connected with receiver Andrew Hawkins for a 39-yard gain on third-and-1 from the Browns’ 49.
