CLEVELAND: It took only five plays to provide a clue as to which direction the Browns’ day would go against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Actually, make that a single play.
It came on a third-down incompletion in the end zone to wide receiver Andrew Hawkins. Away from the play, what left tackle Joe Thomas described as a “UFC fight” broke out between Browns center Cam Erving and Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman David Irving. It resulted in both players’ ejection from the game.
Things continued to spiral down from there for the winless Browns in a 35-10 loss.
